An all new 383 short block from GM Performance Parts for our hot rod. Built the way we want it with a 4 bolt main cast iron block, a 4340 steel crankshaft, PM connecting rods and hypereutectic flat top pistons. Also included with this exciting package is a flexplate, harmonic balancer, oil pump with screen and drive shaft, oil pan and plastic front cover. All we need now is a cam and lifters, and a timing set and we will be ready for the heads. GM was even nice enough to leave the pan fitted loosely to the block so that we can take it off and install the cam with out destroying the pan gasket. We know it is good because it is the same short block that they use on their 340 horsepower 383 crate engine. |
